Alternate XP Award System
The time that D&D v.3.5 combats take in a chat-based game make the default system for XP awards too slow for the pace of this campaign.
Here is the system I’m using instead, as created by Jennifer.
Each combat encounter, story objective, and puzzle/trap completed earns additional XP according to this table:
QUEST | REWARD | COMBAT | REWARD | TRAP | REWARD |
Easy | 100 | Easy | 300 | Easy | 150 |
Moderate | 200 | Moderate | 500 | Moderate | 300 |
Difficult | 300 | Tough | 1,000 | Difficult | 600 |
Main Quest | 1,000 | Boss Fight | 2,000+ | Deathtrap | 1,000 |
At the party’s current level, this table is more like a guideline.
And a good line or LOL moment earns an on-the-spot bonus as well.
